Cornelia Funke

Cornelia Funke was born and raised in Germany and studied at the University of Hamburg. After she graduated from college, she worked as a social worker with children. She returned to school three years later, this time to study book illustration at the Hamburg State College of Design, and became a designer and illustrator of children's books. Wanting to draw fabulous creatures and magical worlds from her own imagination inspired her to write her own children's books to give young readers the sorts of stories that grasped their imaginations.

Best known for her Inkheart trilogy, Dragon Rider and The Thief Lord, Cornelia's own success as an internationally bestselling and award-winning author demonstrates the power of her storytelling. Cornelia is a worldwide publishing phenomenon who has been named by Time magazine as one of the "100 most influential people in the world today." Her fans around the world eagerly await the publication of RECKLESS, her stunning new novel which goes on sale worldwide September 14th, 2010. Cornelia currently lives with her family in Los Angeles, California, in a house full of books.

Lionel Wigram

Over the last twenty years, writer and producer Lionel Wigram has been involved in some of the most notable films to arrive on the big screen. Wigram started working in the film business while studying at Oxford University, where he was one of the founding members of the Oxford Film Foundation. In 1996 he joined Warner Bros. as Vice President of Production and played an integral role in acquiring the film rights to the Harry Potter novels. He has supervised the making of the entire Harry Potter series including having executive produced the last four films. During his time at Warner Bros., Wigram also supervised such projects as "August Rush," "The Avengers," "The Big Tease," "Charlotte Gray," "Three Kings" and "The Good German." Through his self-titled production banner, Wigram wrote the story for and produced the 2009 world-wide hit feature film "Sherlock Holmes." His most recent projects include the CG-animated "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole," which will be released in September 2010, and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" which will be released in two parts in November 2010 and July 2011. Currently Wigram is in pre-production on the sequel of Sherlock Holmes which will shoot in London this fall.

Elliot Hill

Elliot Hill, narrator of the Reckless audiobook, was born in London and now lives in New York. He has performed both on the London stage as well as off-Broadway. He has appeared in films, including "Green Street Hooligans" and television for the BBC.

Adam Watts

Singer-songwriter Adam Watts is an award-winning solo artist, and a producer and writer of hit songs for other acts. Watts' latest album, Murder Yesterday, is set for release in fall 2010. Among its original tracks is "Reckless," a song written for Cornelia Funke's new book of the same name. Watts first got into music at age ten when he started playing drums. "I liked everything about the drums—the way they looked, the way they made me feel. Very early on, I felt like I had something to express through them... Later on, it was the same thing with songwriting. I realized that instead of hitting things, I wanted to say things." Today, Watts is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. In his work with other artists—most notably via a decade-long collaboration with Andy Dodd—Watts has contributed to the sales of more than 45 million albums for acts including Jesse McCartney, Jeremy Camp, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, and Switchfoot.
